The POA80 Code - What To Do?

There are some common indicators that your vehicle maybe experiencing a hybrid battery problem:

  • Is there a fan blowing in the rear passenger side of vehicle? This is your hybrid battery cooling fan which has turned on because an overage in temperature has been detected.

  • On your vehicles MFD (Multi-Function Display) screen do you notice your battery level acting erratically? Does the battery level move from Green (completely full) and quickly drop to 1 Purple bar?

  • While driving do you notice a lack or power or hesitation while accelerating?

These are common symptoms to help diagnose a hybrid battery issue without having to go to a mechanic. To confirm you have a hybrid battery issue it’s best to have a proper diagnostic performed which can be done with various OBD (on board diagnostic) scan tools and code readers.
